ATTITUDE NEED CHANGE

HARI RAYA BLUES

It is here again. Come November 3rd, we will celebrate Hari Raya. After fasting for 29 days (most of the time 30 days) all Muslims throughout the world will celebrate the Eidil Fitri.

Of course the unlucky ones like the Pakistanese who are still shock by earthquake recently; the people of Iraq where peace is still not in sight and our brothers and sisters in Southern Thailand who live in fear of being shot or bombed, may not be able to celebrate the Eidi Fitri fully.

In Malaysia though, the Hari Raya is the day - a have to celebrate occasion. Those working and studying in cities throughout Malaysia will get home to their roots by hook or by crook.

The part that we would not like to hear is the road accidents. Malaysians are famous for their courtesy and hospitality: but when it comes to driving - all hell break loose.

Perhaps Malaysians should be more respectful to each other when driving. No amount of traffic summons, road safety campaign could prevent road fatalities. It’s the ATTITUDE - that need to be changed. Once Malaysians' driving attitude change, the number of road accidents will go down; take my word.

So, all you out there, do go home to your ‘kampungs’ and bring joy to your parents and families. Celebrate the Hari Raya by all means. Drive carefully - and change your driving attitude. Be more tolerant. Take care and have a good time.

SELAMAT HARI RAYA
MAAF ZAHIR BATIN.

Nice to be happy..

Happiness is …

Here are some wonderful thoughts on happiness that I would like to share all of you out there. Give happiness a chance.

No man is happy unless he believes he is.

Action may not always bring happiness; but there is no happiness without action.

Joy is not a thing, it is in us.

Eating well gives a spectacular joy to goodwill and happy companionship.

The two foes of human happiness are pain and boredom.

People are just about as happy as they make up their minds to be.

To be without some of the things you want is an indispensable part of happiness.

It is neither wealth nor splendour, but tranquillity and occupation, which give happiness.

Happiness is a butterfly, which, when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you.

The secret of happiness and prosperity in this world, as in the world to come, lies in thinking of the welfare of the others first and not taking one's self too seriously.

MINDFUL THOUGHTS

QUOTES
Success

You cannot climb the ladder of success with your hands in your pocket.

Success is where preparation and opportunity meet.

The dictionary is the only place that success comes before work.

The path to success is to take massive, determined action.

Successful people have learned to make themselves do the thing that has to be done, when it has to be done; whether they like it or not.

Success depends on what you do with you.

I do not know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.

The glory of success is not in NEVER falling, but in RISING every time we fall.

Learn from the mistakes of others.... you cannot live long enough to make them all yourself.

When you're a winner you're always happy, but if you're happy as a loser you'll always be a loser.

We have been blessed with the power of choice - we can be, do and have what we want.

Rain oh Rain

Rain oh Rain

Well its monsoon time… and hey it really rain down here in Pasir Mas. Those living in the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia will know what this rain is all about.

Rain-rain go away, come again another day.

Sorry, the rain is here to stay… for a day? No, may be for days and for weeks.

Well actually it is not the rain that I am going to talk about this time. It is the outcome. You know the flash flood due to the poor drainage system. Throughout Malaysia I suppose the biggest problem is about the drainage system. Each department blaming each other for the constant flash flood that occurs in every town in Malaysia…. Even in KL.

Take Pasir Mas for example. It is a small town situated near the Kelantan river. In fact as most towns in Malaysia, it developed because the river was a mean of moving from a town to another in the olden days. Unfortunately the District Town Council fails to drain the water into the river, thus many places are stagnant. Which create another problem - AEDES mosquitoes.

It really makes us wonder. Is it that difficult to have a good drainage system for a town located near the river? Don’t we have local engineers and technicians who can sit down with the District Town Council to discuss how to drain away the water into the river nearby? Is it that costly? Isn’t it high time for the people of Pasir Mas to live without worries of flash flood and stagnant water?

Hey we want some answers. I hope something is done and fast. And mind you we are paying al sorts of taxes… cukai bandar, cukai pintu entah apa apa cukai lagi.

Entah lah.

Tarzan's Tale or Tail's?

While Tarzan was away a group of monkeys were busy discussing.

Monkey No. 1:     I wonder why is Tarzan wearing clothes?
Monkey No. 2:     Don’t tell me you don’t know.
Monkey No. 3:     So you know, you tell us.. why?
Monkey No. 2:     No. I was just joking I don’t know either.
Monkey No. 1:     Tell you what. I will go and look while he is taking his daily swim.

So monkey number 1 went looking for Tarzan. He followed Tarzan secretly to a river. He hid behind some bushes. Tarzan stripped and jumped into the river. The monkey managed to see clearly what he came for.

Monkey No. 1:     Now I know why Tarzan wear clothes around the waist.
Monkey No. 2:     Yeah, yeah tell us, tell us.
Monkey No. 1:     Laughing…  He got his tail in front. And he is trying to hide it.

Fasting Month

Hai Everyone,

Sorry for not writing for so long. Firstly Selamat Berpuasa to all muslims in Malaysia and of course Happy Fasting to all Muslims of the world. Happy for being hungry? Well yes. To us Muslims, it is indeed an honour to be able to fast for the whole month of Ramadhan. It is to show our willingness to accept with dignity the dos and don'ts of Islam.

Well, again. Selamat Berpuasa and ..... jangan lupa bersahur.
